Bad news for all people who are using peer to peer data transfer services; Senator Joe Bidden has been nominated by the Democrats as Vice President for Barrack Obama in the US 2008 Presidential Race.
Senator Joe Bidden has a long history of Anti-piracy Legislation tries.
He tabled bill in 2002 for declaring Fedral Felony to trick certain types of devices into playing unauthorized music or executing unapproved computer programs which got subdued due to efforts of Microsoft, Yahoo, Apple, Verizon, Ebay lobbying. He also wrote a letter to the Justice Department urgin it to prosecute individuals who intentionally allow mass copying from their computer over peer-to-peer networks.
Last year, Biden sponsored an RIAA-backed bill called the Perform Act aimed at restricting Americans' ability to record and play back individual songs from satellite and Internet radio services.
We just hope that he comes to the knowlegde that peer to peer sharing is an undeniable right of every individual.
